A typical straightforward combi replacement costs from £1,400 to £3,000 fully commissioned, including boiler, flue, magnetic filter & installation sundries. Variance in price comes down to brand: certain Worcester Bosch & Vaillant models sit at the top, with Ideal & Baxi considered mid-range. Obviously other components & site conditions such as smart thermostat controls, different flue routing requirements etc all reflect in the cost. Yes. Chris is registered with Gas Safe (the legal registration body for gas engineers in the UK), Registration No. 547151. Chris is also City & Guilds industry qualified, Building Regulations G3 Unvented Hot Water cylinder certified, Water Regulations qualified & an Associate member of CIPHE, the Chartered Institute of Plumbers & Heating Engineers. With 30 years on the tools, you can be assured Chris is both experienced and fully qualified to undertake and complete any gas or water related utilities work you need.
Boiler Boss covers the whole of greater Thanet & all the CT postcodes. Based in Broadstairs, all areas covered are 40 mins or less by van. If you're outside the area, call anyway. We usually say yes.
For genuine emergencies, no heating in winter, no hot water, suspected gas leak, yes, seven days a week. Phone goes straight to Chris. Sundays attract a small out-of-hours surcharge but no inflated callout fees. Priority always goes to vulnerable customers and households with young children.
Boiler manufacturers offer up to 10 years on premium units (Worcester Greenstar, Vaillant ecoTEC) provided the boiler is registered by an approved installer (we are) and serviced annually. Standard warranty is typically 5–7 years. We register every install with the manufacturer the day it's commissioned, you don't have to do anything.

CPHG Services covered everything plumbing and heating and was as well known in Thanet for bathroom renovations as for Boiler installs, (our Checkatrade reviews were testament to that). After 15 years in Broadstairs though it became clear that boilers was where the expertise mattered most so under our Gas Boss Ltd parent company, Boiler Boss is now the specialism.
